What is restoring iPod to factory settings?
A fresh copy of iPod software is known as "factory settings". When you first buy a new iPod, it comes with default or factory settings. A completion message will be displayed as soon as restoration finishes. This means that your iPod is formatted anew and all contents are deleted.
